I’m so excited to let you know that the reopening of Thrive Wellness is getting close!

“How close?” you ask. Well, I don’t know exactly…but we have our *fingers crossed* that it will be Friday, May 15th or very soon thereafter.

We're ready to go and waiting for the A-OK. Our county leaders have submitted an application and plan to the Governor’s office to begin reopening local businesses considered “Phase One,” which would include Thrive Wellness. Phase One reopening could begin on May 15th, if approved.

According to Gov. Brown's news conference today, it sounds promising that Thrive Wellness will be able to re-open on May 15th. We are so excited to be able to see our members and help them to be as healthy as possible! We've miss y'all!

There will be social distancing and disinfecting requirements. We're so glad that our Thrive members are excellent at disinfecting the equipment after use anyway.

Of course, for our members who are high-risk and may not feel comfortable coming in just yet, we understand. As previously stated, we're offering suspensions at no cost for the time we've been closed.

Get a full body workout with the trainers of Thrive Wellness. Click here for the warm-up, then follow with up to 3 sets of the workout. (12-15 reps each). Finish with the cool down stretch.

Challenge yourself but please modify, as needed, for your body. You can add weights to make the workout more effective. If you don't have dumbbells or kettle bells available, you can use filled quart or gallon bottles, or fill a backpack with canned goods, books or whatever you have handy!

You know the saying "No news is good news"? Well, sometimes no news is news! We've had several inquires about when will we be able to re-open. What's our projection or best guess? I have no idea! We are not given any information other than what's available through the media and the Oregon Health Authority. I have written to our state representatives and governor but have nothing to report. The personal trainers at Thrive Wellness have designed a simple, but effective workout for your quarantined pleasure. It's designed in a circuit format meaning you'll warm-up (remember, safety first!) then do a total of 12 body weight strength, core and cardio exercises. Repeat the circuit for a total of 3 sets then enjoy a nice cool down and stretch.

We are sad to announce that we are temporarily closed until further notice due to the coronavirus. Even though we know we're the cleanest gym around, the state has mandated the closure of all gyms and I don't think they're going to make an exception for us (although they should)! ;)

This also means we are required to close access to our 24-hour service. We were hoping to be able to allow our members continued access as long as we have good cleaning protocol and social distancing guidelines. Not so. (If you purchased a 24-hour key fob on my mistaken belief that you could use it during the corona-chaos, you can return it for a refund, if you don't want to keep it.)
